Big stand, shared window, zero slack

The stand builder came to us ten days out with a familiar brief: an 18×9m island stand, double-height rigging above, and a build schedule that gave flooring the last seven hours before venue inspection. The floor had to carry the brand's charcoal palette, take a printed logo zone at the entrance, and survive three days of demo traffic without looking tired by the afternoon of day two.

The floor, engineered backwards from the deadline

We planned the fit backwards from inspection time. Needle-punch charcoal was pre-cut to a seam map in the workshop so on-site work was layout and taping only — 162 sqm laid in under four hours. A 4-metre printed logo zone was dye-printed separately and butted into the entrance line, so a print delay could never hold up the main floor.

Crew of five, 11pm–6am. Walk-off mats at both entrances, edges taped against the shell walls, and a vacuum pass before the inspector walked it. We were struck and gone by 9:30pm on closing day.
