400 Guests, One Ivory Aisle,
zero seams.
A lunch conference vacated the ballroom at 4pm; 400 wedding guests walked the aisle at 7:30pm. The floor — a 20-metre ivory aisle, dance floor surround and connecting hallway — went down in between.
A 3.5-hour window between two events
The planner needed the venue's marble and existing function carpet completely hidden: a 20-metre ivory aisle for the ceremony, a surround framing the dance floor, and the connecting hallway dressed so guests never saw bare floor between spaces. Heel-safe backing was non-negotiable, and everything had to disappear by 1am for the next day's booking.
What We DidThe floor, engineered backwards from the deadline
Crew of four arrived at 4:15pm with every piece pre-cut to the venue survey from the week before. Aisle first — 2 metres wide, anti-slip backed, taped and checked flat for heels. The dance floor surround followed as four pre-built sections, then 210 sqm of hallway carpet rolled out in continuous widths so guests walked one unbroken floor from majlis to ballroom.
Florists and AV worked around us on a shared floor plan. At 1am the same crew struck the lot, and the ballroom was handed back at 1:40am.
